Our Story

Hello, my name is Dave and thank you for visiting my web site. The story of Father & Son Pizzeria started back in 1973. I was 16 years old and started working at Italia Pizzeria in Mt. Clemens as a pizza delivery person.


I really enjoyed the pizza business and knew right away that I would like to own a pizzeria someday. Soon, I learned how to cook pizzas and then became a manager. I worked there for about 5 years, quit and did construction for a while, but, I always wanted to get back into the pizza business. In 1983, the Lord created an opportunity for me to acquire my own pizzeria. It was a big step, but my wife, Diane, and I had faith that it was God's will. We borrowed some money and bought some used equipment to get started. I did most of the work remodeling and installing the equipment, with a lot of help from my dad and some friends. The name comes from the Bible, "Father, Son and the Holy Spirit" (the Dove). We opened this location (23 Mile & Gratiot) in November of 1983 and are still here today. My old boss, the late Sam Rappa, always said "good quality and good service will keep customers coming back." I have always tried to run my own pizzeria with those words in mind. Our ingredients and recipes are top quality, and we always offer great service with a 100% money back guarantee. In 1995 we became a licensed "Genuine Broaster Chicken" outlet and serve some of the best chicken on the planet. In 2007 I developed our "Chicago Style Pizza". It is the only "Double Crust Stuffed Pizza" in Chesterfield Township. In 2008, I started a rewards program for all of my customers.
